The challenge
Heavy industry's public image is stuck on capacity, scale and smokestacks. A company in transition needs a different language — one that turns technical retrofits, emissions data and staff welfare into something an outside reader and a shop-floor worker will both accept. Every piece I wrote had to clear three audiences at once: the department head, the frontline worker being written about, and the external reader.

Every piece I wrote had to clear three audiences at once: the department head, the frontline worker being written about, and the external reader.
Approach
I worked across two audiences: external stakeholders and employees. For external communication, I translated technical material about production, automation, and the green transition into newsroom-style stories, building each around a person, decision, or operational change instead of corporate claims.
For internal communication, I helped plan and produce short films and an employee-facing campaign. I coordinated interviews, fact-checking, and approvals so the work stayed legible to non-specialists without overstating what the company could prove.
Outputs and evaluation: I produced seven articles and two short films. The employee campaign received 9.4/10 in an internal evaluation.Additional responsibilities: I prepared briefing materials for government visits, collected governance data for sustainability reporting, and coordinated nine employee-care and corporate culture activities with HR teams.
What I'd do differently: I would define stakeholder sign-off and outcome measures at the start, then connect each story, film, or employee campaign to a specific communication objective rather than evaluating the work mainly through delivery quality.
